I recently purchased the free trail of acai berry detox from acaiberrydetox.com when i recieved it i was skeptical about taking some pills i got for free via the internet. So i googled in hopes of finding some reassuring about it.. only to find that is it a scam and many people have been overcharged for it, they have been charge like $80. It only said it was 99 cents for shipping and handleing, which i put on a giftcard with less than $3.. will i not be overcharged? what will happen?
It’s all about reading the fine print. When you sign up for the free trial, it states that you must cancel your subscription 14 days from the billing/order date of the trial offer. If you do not cancel it, they will automatically charge you for the next month’s supply and send it out to you. If you used a gift card that has a set amount on it, then they will not be able to charge more than the amount that’s on the card. If they can’t charge the full amount, they will automatically cancel your subscription.

if its a visa gift card, worst case scenario is you’ll lose $3. not liable for anything else.
